For the Historians there is our very own Castle at Oxwich which stands proud in grounds overlooking Oxwich Bay.  The castle is now cared for by Cadw, the Welsh ancient monument body.  In the next village of Penrice is Gowers largest castle which is situated in the grounds of Penrice Park. www.cadw.Wales.gov.uk .

A few miles away there is Parkmill Heritage Centre which demonstrates how the farming community came together at harvest time to produce flour.  The mill has now been restored to working order, it has various craft shops within, for that perfect present.  Ducks and swans swim freely along the mills watercourse and children can observe and learn all about the wildlife.  www.gowerheritagecentre.co.uk
